Nora Pattern from Oh Me Sewing

The top that brought things back to life...

Making this pattern was so much fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a beginner. It was so simple and the instructions were very clear and easy to understand.

I started off by printing the pattern. Since I can still use the other sizes for my daughter, I decided to not cut the pattern but to simply use my rotary tracer to trace the paper onto the fabric on the correct size line. I was able to mark the fabric without having to cut the pattern.

Some of my favorite tools used in this project were Clover pins and pinking shears (since I don’t have a serger…yet) The pinking shears cut in a zig zag to where the garment doesn’t fray on the hem line. It also helps reduce the bulk of fabric on the hems.

Lastly, I had fancy labels with my logo I bought a while back on Etsy so of course I had to add those.

The cool thing is I originally bought 4 yards of this so I have enough to make myself a matching top ;)
